BTC All-Star Classic to return Dec. 11
Baltimore vs. Metro All-Stars at Northeast-AA will mark the 25th renewal
After a year and half of uncertainty, the Baltimore Touchdown Club has announced that they will resume its annual Senior All-Star Football Game on Saturday, December 11th at Northeast High School in Pasadena Maryland. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
The 25th Game will feature the top Senior High School football players from Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Harford County, Howard County, Carroll County, Frederick County, Washington County and several private schools in the MIAA. At the current time, 65 high schools have nominated seniors to represent their school in this traditional All-Star Game. All 65 schools will have at least one representative in the game that will feature a total of 110 players.
Players will be notified of their selection on Monday, November 1st with a press release occurring on November 8th. Both teams will practice a total of eight times prior to competing on December 11th. The Baltimore Touchdown Club uses this event to help promote football players for potential scholarship opportunities. In the past, numerous Division III colleges have been in attendance and this film is shared with numerous Division I and Division II programs that cannot attend the game due to recruiting rules. The Baltimore Touchdown Club plans to stream this game live on December 11th.
The BTC Executive Board has chosen Gilman’s head coach Nick Bach to lead the Baltimore Team and head coach Shawn Frederick of Mount Hebron High School to direct the Metro Team. Both Bach and Frederick have been assistants in this all-star game in the past.
