Baltimore Touchdown Club Super 22 Football Honors Announced

Baltimore, Maryland- The Baltimore Touchdown Club is proud to announce the selections for its 27th Annual Junior Showcase Football Event: The Baltimore Touchdown Club Super 22 Award Banquet.

The Baltimore Touchdown Club Super 22 banquet will be held on Wednesday Evening March 26th in Baltimore County at the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department Banquet Hall. The banquet will start at 6pm and honor the 22 BEST Juniors on Offense, and the 22 BEST Juniors on Defense. 4 athletes and 2 specialists will also be honored to round out the roster at 50.

The Baltimore Touchdown Club is in its 27th year of hosting this amazing banquet. Numerous players honored at this awards banquet have played in major college football programs and in the NCAA college football championships. We also have several players from this banquet that have played in the NFL. Again, this is a great honor to be selected to this pre-season team.

This year’s banquet will future CBS Radio host Gary Stein from “Stein on Sports” as the master of ceremonies. The keynote speaker will be announced later. In the past the Baltimore Touchdown Club has had numerous icon sports figures speak at this banquet; icons like Brian Billick-Baltimore Ravens, James Franklin- Penn State, Ralph Friedgen-Maryland, Randy Edsell- Uconn, Ken Niumatalolo- Navy, and Rob Ambrose- Towson, just to name a few.

The mission of the Baltimore Touchdown Club Coaches Association is simple, helping promote high school football in the Maryland area. The Baltimore Touchdown Club is a high school coaches association representing 85 high schools in the State.  At the current time, schools are represented by Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Howard County, Frederick County, Carroll County, Harford County, Washington County, Cecil County, Allegany County and private schools from the MIAA. Each year the BTC hosts its Annual Senior All Star Classic which, at 28 years, is the longest running All-Star game in Maryland. The BTC runs numerous coaches’ clinics, big man jamborees, 7 on 7 events, and is instrumental in the organization of the Maryland vs Pennsyvania Big 33 All-Star Game. All the members of the Baltimore Touchdown Club Executive Board are volunteers, and work in the high school football community. All the member schools in the BTC are passionate about football and the life lessons it teaches to our young student athletes.

You all left one of the better receivers off your list. Check out Cole Cavanaugh at Severna Park High School @cole_cav81. His numbers don’t lie compared some of the other WR you have on your list.
